Airship 002, a Unique Airbnb in the Scottish Highlands

14/07/2018 05:42:00 PM

The wild landscapes of the Scottish Highlands are the ultimate escape to people who would love to discover genuine solitude. This unique place of Earth can easily take anybody’s heart with its enormous mountains, forests, unbelievably green grass, crystal clear waters and now with this little submarine like cottage called Airship 002. The peculiar building was designed by Roderick James Architects in Drimini on the island of Mull.

The house is built with aluminium insulated panels that was partly left raw allowing natural light to fill up its interior. The living room is located on the west side of the building where you can enjoy the amazing sunsets and the view of the Ardnemurchan Peninsula. In the centre of the house there is a kitchen with a dining room that looks like a cross between retro American diner and ship galley. The bedroom with office is in the east wing with a huge glass surface that looks out onto the splendid Sound of Mull.
